Peter challenges us to change our perspective: As children of the Most High, we have a Heavenly birthright. We are not orphans, but heirs of a Kingdom. We have a Father Who is the King of Kings. We are transient non citizens who are part of God’s family. Strangers. We are foreigners. So yes, we may live in this world, but we are not of it and as far as this planet goes, we should consider ourselves to be foreigners, just passing through.
